Studiostrip
Studiostrip is the name for the department of comics within the multimedia art group Kosmoplovci which was founded in Belgrade in 2001. The members are Radovan Popović, Aleksandar Opačić, Danijel Savović, Lazar Bodroža, and Relja Pajić. Studiostrip is also the name of an edition of comic books published by Fabrika Knjiga whose main editor is Radovan Popović. Fabrika Knjiga has published albums from members of Studiostrip: Šaka (Radovan Popović), Tajna Paukove Krvi (Aleksandar Opačić), and Raskal (various authors).
Studiostrip about Studiostrip: “Studiostrip was founded on the 23rd of September, 2001, in the studio of Kosmoplovci who were founded even before that. Studiostrip consists of all the members of Kosmoplovci who are doing comics.
The publishing section of the group has been represented by several printed publications and even more electronic issues. Most of the works have not yet been published and an even bigger majority has not even been created yet. Studiostrip is conspiring with similar-minded groups such as Komikaze from Zagreb, Krpelj from Vršac, and Entropija from Subotica.”
The members of Studiostrip have exhibited in numerous group or solo exhibitions such as Put u Kosmosu (National Library, Belgrade, 2002), Kosmoplovački slet u Remont (Remont Gallery, Belgrade, 2002), Oktobarski Salon (Belgrade, 2003), Crno i Zlatno (Tvrđava Club, Kalemegdan, Belgrade, 2005), and Hard Comics (Gallery SKC, Belgrade, 2006).
